Open Classes

Grand Champion, Male

GCC Robb's CH STATIONARY SIR PURRSALOT (24c) 26 Jun 02

A large strong boy of good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile slightly raised at the brow and with a small dip below, firm fractionally shallow chin, bite missing most incisors but basically level. Eyes of good shape and set of a good depth of blue. Long strong body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch to balance. Points a slightly dark lilac showing some pinky tones, warm magnolia body lightly shaded over the hips but otherwise clear. Close coat of good texture, excellent temperament and presentation.

2 (Res GCC n/a) Key's KALOKE KASIMIR (24) 28 Jun 06

A handsome lad of good type but I would prefer to see more strength and masculinity. Long wedge a little fine in the muzzle, needing a little more width at the top, large ears set in line. Profile rather flat over the forehead, with a tiny dip below the brow, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set and of a good depth of blue. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an inch to balance and unfortunately with a small deviation one vertebra up from the base. Points a dense warm seal, moderately shaded body a little cooler in tone than the ideal. Close coat of good texture, excellent temperament and presentation.

Tabby Point Adult, Female

1+CC Shand's PALMIRA PAJAMARAMA (32/1) 15 Sep 07

A girl of good type with an impressive line in invective for one so young. Long wedge, a little short in the muzzle, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin, bite scissored over. Well set eyes of good basic shape though she did open them rather wide at times, revealing a colour which would ideally have a little more depth of blue. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Markings in a good warm seal: clear "M", double ribbons and thumbprints, good leg bars, tail half ringed though most of the rings incomplete. Moderately shaded body, close coat of good texture. Excellent presentation.

BOB Harvey's CH ADVIAM PINUP POPPY (32/1) 19 Nov 05

A balanced mature girl of good type. Longish wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, chin ebbs slightly, level bite. Eyes of good shape which she did open a little wide out of the pen, well set and of a very good depth of blue. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Marked in a good warm seal: clear "M", thumbprints, double ribbons, good leg bars, tail three quarters ringed. Lightly shaded warm cream body, close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Also considered for BOB Shand's GR CH SHIMILEETA SPARKLINGICE (32/1) 4 Jun 05

A mature lady of very good type. Long wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile apart from a small bump on the nose, firm chin, bite under. Eyes of very good shape and set, and of a good depth of blue. Long strong body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch for balance. Well marked in a rather black seal, clear "M", double ribbons, good thumbprints, very good leg bars, tail fully ringed. Moderately shaded body, coat of good length and texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. Her bite and colour together lost her the BOB.

Havana Adult, Male

1 (CC n/a) Ellison's TRELGANDORF TABACO LORD 24 May 06

An attractive large strong lad of good type. Longish wedge a little broad in the muzzle, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape if a trifle full, well set, olive green in colour. Long strong body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Colour an attractive warm chestnut, just a little unsound on the lower back, with an isolated white hair or two inside the right hind leg. Coat close and glossy, excellent temperament and presentation. Unfortunately, besides all the good attributes, he had one problem which prevented award of a certificate his nose leather and paw pads were almost completely of a bright pink, with just a small trace of brown. I do hope this manages to correct itself, though my experience with a chocolate point which had the same problem is not hopeful.

2 Tosun's ADSETSH RUDOLPH 25 Dec 06

A large lad of goodish type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, chin a little shallow and ebbs rather, bite level. Eyes of good shape though rather full, well set, of a rather pale green. Long rather rangy body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance and rather blunt at the tip. Rather a dark chestnut colour and a little unsound, coat rather long and distinctly long on the lower back. Rather worried though he handled well, excellent presentation.

Oriental Spotted Kitten, Male

1+BOB Rankin's DREAMCATCHER CHEROKEE (38b) 8 Dec 07

A well grown lad of good type. Long wedge a little broad in the muzzle, needing a little more width at the top, ears would ideally be a fraction larger though their set was good when he relaxed. Eyes of good shape and set, opened a little wide out of his pen but fine when returned to safety, of an clear olive green. Long firm body, long legs with largish paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Marked in a slightly dark warm chocolate, the ground colour having a very pleasing warmth to it: good scarab and thumbprints, multiple cheek ribbons, two broken necklaces, well defined small distinct spots over shoulders and haunches, larger spots on the sides showing some linkage but not excessively so, spine line broken at the head and tail ends and showing some signs of breaking in between, well ringed tail. Markings sound to the roots and showing minimal agouti invasion. Close coat of good texture, excellent temperament and presentation.

Oriental Spotted Kitten, Female

1 Wooley's EMERPUS TARTAN ROSE (38) 18 Dec 07

A girl of good type. Longish even wedge, needing a little more width at the top, large ears held a fraction high. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set olive green in colour. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail with a small irregularity at the tip. Marked in a good black but the ground colour rather grey and lacking in warmth except on the limbs. Good scarab, thumbprints, cheek ribbons, two broken necklaces, clear spots over shoulders, those on the body showing substantial linkage, well broken spine line, markings sound to the roots but with quite a lot of agouti invasion. Close coat of good texture, excellent temperament and presentation.

Eyes of very good shape and set of a clear pale green. Very long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch to balance. Colour jet back, just a little brown right at the roots in places. Coat close, glossy and of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Another huge boy of good, slightly superior type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set of a clear pale green. Very long well fed muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail need sand extra inc to balance. Colour jet black sound to the roots, coat a fraction long, glossy and of excellent texture, one or two white hairs on the upper neck. Rather shy, preferring to hide beneath his blanket, but handled amicably; excellent presentation.

Eyes of very good shape and set and of a very good deep blue. Long slender body which ideally would carry a little more weight, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Siamese Adult bred in Scotland

1 Harvey's ENIGMATIC TIPTOES (32b3) F 27 Oct 06

A girl of good type, but on the small side and still looking distinctly kittenish which at her age she should certainly no longer do. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set, of a good depth of blue. Medium length slender body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Points a very dark warm chocolate, all broken but lacking in real red except at the tail tip. Close coat of good texture. Rather argumentative, excellent presentation.

Siamese Novice Kitten

1 Robb's RIVANESS DEBONNAIRE (24a) M 9 Feb 08

A baby of good type. Medium length wedge with a tiny pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm deep chin, bite scissored over. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Points a darkish blue with a slight brownish overtone which I attributed to the hall light, almost unshaded cool-tones body, close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

2 Key's LAVINSHY KALOKE KAYLI (24) F 25 Nov 07

A well grown rather feisty kitten of reasonably good type. Long wedge with a small pinch, needing rather more width at the top, large ears set in line. Small dip in profile and a bump on the nose, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set needing more depth of blue. Long strong body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Points a dense warm seal, body lightly shaded, close coat of good texture. Excellent presentation.

Colour does not conform Brash's RIVANESS MIZ PRISSY (32/4) F 10 Mar 08

An attractive baby of very good type. Medium length even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set, but of a pale shade of blue. Proportionate firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Well marked for a baby: good "M", thumbprints, one and a half ribbons, well ringed tail, leg bars just appearing. Very lightly shaded body, close coat of good texture. The colour of the markings was something of a conundrum: certainly not lilac, could be a pale blue or caramel, but the brown paw pads not right for any of the possibilities - all should become clear in time.

Siamese 14 weeks - 6 months Kitten

1 Denholm's PIPPISTRELLE PALOMINO (32a) M 28 Jan 08

A well grown lad of good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Points colour still developing, promising to be a good bright red, unshaded warm white body, close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

2 Robb's RIVANESS BERTIE WOOSTER (24a) M 10 Mar 08

A charming baby of good type. Longish wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set of a slightly dull blue. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Points a dark rather brown toned blue, unshaded body slightly warmer in tone than the ideal, close coat of good texture. Superb temperament, excellent presentation. I should not be surprised if he turned out in due course to be something other than blue, but given his youth and the available light gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Siamese 6 - 9 months Kitten

1 Michie's DEBIKAT JOSETHESPECIALONE (32/3) M 1 Oct 07

A handsome lad of very good type, but with some growing still to do considering he is almost adult, and needing more masculinity. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin, bite marginally over. Eyes of very good shape and set, of a good depth of blue. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Marked in a slightly dark warm chocolate: clear "M", thumbprints, single ribbon, faint leg bars, tail one third ringed. Unshaded body, close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Excellent temperament and presentation.

Oriental Breeders Adult

1 Samphier's EIREACHDAIL FEELIN GROOVY (48d) M 23 May 07

An extremely impressive lad of very good type, and quite mature for his age. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm though slightly shallow chin (which at first glance appears worse because of the distribution of white), bite scissored over. Eyes of very good shape and set, but in colour appeared coppery with little green - which definitely did not improve when taken to daylight. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. The red areas were sound to the roots but a little lacking in brightness, no doubt the effect of the white, and on the body showing a rather clearer spotted pattern than ideal. White to the whole under body, chest and under chin, the forelegs up to the shoulders with one or two red patches, most of the hind legs, on the head in an inverted "V", at the base of the ears, and a broadening line from forehead over the top of the head to the shoulders. A few white patches along the back, in all over half white, a little bleeding of the white into the borders of the coloured areas. Coat close and of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

2 Gibson's KHERAF DIAMONDSRFOREVER (35) F 7 Jul 07

An adolescent girl of good type, but distinctly immature for one just under a year old - more consistent with being only just adult. Medium length wedge needing a little more width at the top, well set large ears. Small dip in profile, very firm and slightly shallow chin, bite level. Eyes on the full side and of very odd setting, appearing almost to have a reverse slant, but of very good depth of blue. Medium length slender body, long legs with neat paws, tail needing an extra inch to balance. Colour a snowy white, coat close but a little full and soft in texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Oriental Non-Self Adult

1 Samphier's APPLEJACK GWENDOLINE (48) 10 Nov 06

A well grown and elegant girl of good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set, perhaps a fraction full, of a clear pale green. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, long well tapered tail. Colour a dense black sound to the roots, white covering two thirds of the width of the underbody but with a broad central black patch to the rear third, white to all legs, with more to the front than the rear, and even the front about half black, white to chest, throat and over the shoulders but nowhere else on the upper body and sides, not much white on the head though that in an attractive cross-shaped pattern; in all less than the required one-third white. Substantial bleeding of white into the borders of the coloured areas, and quite a number of white hairs inside the coloured areas also. Coat close and of good texture; excellent temperament and presentation.
