Open Classes

Oriental Grand Premier Male

IGPC Devlin's GR PR FIORDILISO REDALERT (37d) MN 24 Apr 10
A lad of very good type, perhaps needing to fill out slightly but still of very good maturity for his age. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, front of head not quite vertical, level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set, of a good clear green. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Colour a slightly pale bright red, sound to the roots though showing a tabby pattern of which most spotteds would be proud. Close coat of excellent texture, excellent temperament though nervous, excellent presentation.
2 (Res N/A) Nelson's GR PR TIDLYPOO JUSTIN TYME (38d) MN 25 Feb 06
A large lad of good type. Medium length wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set ears which ideally would be a little larger. Small dip in profile, chin ebbs slightly, level bite lacking many incisors. Eyes of good shape and set olive green in colour. Long well fed body, long legs with large paws, tail needs an extra inch. Colour a rich though slightly dull red, the ground colour not giving very good contrast with the pattern. Good facial markings, well broken spine line, the spotting on the body rather linked, better on the right side than the left, and all with significant agouti invasion. Coat short and of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Siamese/Balinese Grand Champion Male

IGCC Bruno-Grieve's GR CH FLUTTERBY CONQUISTADOR (24b) 12 Jun 09
A handsome lad of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile straight though angled down from the brow, firm slightly shallow chin, level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set and very good depth of blue. Long muscular body which I should prefer to see with a little more weight, but I'm prepared to forgive that in a working boy. Long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points rather dark but warm, just a little brindled to the paws, almost unshaded body, close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Res Brock's GR CH KEVELS TWICEASNICE (24b) 18 Apr 10
Another handsome lad of very good type. Long wedge with minimal pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Small dip in profile, chin ebbs slightly though this is made to look worse than it is by the pale chin, bite level. Eyes of good shape and set and a good depth of blue. Long strong muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points just a fraction dark but warm, tail and paws rather brindled and spectacles to the mask. Very lightly shaded body, coat close and of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Siamese/Balinese Grand Champion Female

1 (IGCC N/A) Brock's GR CH KEVELS PURRSONALITY (24) F 21 Dec 07
A girl of good type. Longish wedge, rather full in the muzzle and with a slight pinch, needing a little more width at the top, large ears well set. Straight profile angled down a little from the brow, firm slightly shallow chin, level bite. Eyes of good shape and set needing a little more depth of blue. Long well fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch. Points a good warm seal, lightly shaded but rather cool toned body, coat short but a little harsh in texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. Sorry, but for me she just lacks the little bit extra for a certificate at this level.

Oriental Champion Male

GCC Chivers's CH DEDANNAN TREASURE-ME (37n) 28 May 09
A large strong lad of very good type, though his heavy jowls do tend to disguise that and it definitely takes some effort to see past them. Medium length even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile straight other than a small bump on the nose, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set of a clear palish green. Long strong muscular body, long legs with largish paws, tail needs a little extra to balance. Colour a good lilac-based caramel sound to the roots and free of ghosting, although the surface was distinctly rusty looking, I thought perhaps sun-bathing but was later told it was something else entirely. Coat of good length and texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Oriental Champion Female

GCC Simpson's CH BARBECCO ELONIA (37k) 21 Mar 09
A very attractive girl of excellent type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, large ears very well set. Small dip in profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of excellent shape and set, of an olive green. Long firm muscular body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Colour a darkish warm cinnamon sound to the roots and free from ghost pattern over the body, just a ghost skull cap and a little ghosting to the legs. Coat short and close lying and of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Res Harvey's CH ENIGMATIC KILLER QUEEN (37h) 14 Feb 10
An attractive girl of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile with a minimal dip, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set of a clear palish green. Long sender body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Colour quite a dark warm chocolate, sound to the roots and well mingled with shades of red with plenty of bright red in the mixture. Close coat of excellent texture, excellent temperament though inclined to wriggle, excellent presentation.

Siamese/Balinese Premier Male

GPC Evans's IMP GR CH & PR ABICASA THEGYPSYBARON (24n) 6 Sep 02
A handsome lad of very good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile other than a small bump on the nose, firm chin, level gums. Eyes of very good shape and set, I should prefer a slightly deeper blue but very creditable for his years. Long very well fed body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Points a pale lilac-based caramel with a good overlay of sludge, moderately shaded body, coat a little long but of very good texture, a curious long sparse patch on his tummy. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Siamese/Balinese Premier Female

GPC Webster's CH & PR NANPEMA TANZANITE-IN-BLUE (24a) 13 Feb 09
A girl of good type and rather retiring temperament, which did her no favours. Not the biggest, but well proportioned and now looking mature. Medium length slightly pinched wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Tiny dip in profile, firm chin though slightly shallow, level bite. Eyes of good shape and set and good depth of blue. Longish slender muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needing an extra fraction. Points rather a dark blue, lightly shaded body, close coat of very good texture. Excellent presentation.

Oriental Red Adult

BOB Moore's GR CH KINKAJEWSDEN ALLANAH F 27 May 08
A retiring girl of very good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set of a good green, especially for a red series cat. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Colour a good deep rich red, showing a little tabby pattern, coloured to the roots. Coat a fraction long but close lying and of excellent texture. She did not at all like being out of the safety of her pen, but submitted for the minimum time necessary, and was much more relaxed when returned to it. Excellent presentation.

Oriental Shaded Neuter

BOB Fowler's GR CH & UK IMP GR PR PIENA SYDNEYNOTASPOT (43n) 13 Sep 02
A large handsome lad of very good type and excellent colour. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, very firm chin, level gums. Eyes of very good shape and set and of a superb green. Long very well fed body - to be honest, it does blur his style a little - long legs with large paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Very good browny-toned caramel colouring, pale oatmeal undercolour for about two thirds of the hair length over the body, but despite this correctly showing almost no tabby markings to the body. The head, tails and legs were a different matter, of course, but that's immaterial. Coat short and of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Seal Point Adult

1 (CC N/A) Green's TSAICHIN ENDILLION (24) F 11 Sep 10
A well developed girl of good type but not looking on top form. Long wedge with a small pinch, needing a little more width at the top, large ears set in line. Straight profile, firm rather shallow chin, level bite. Eyes a little small and deep set, of good shape and set, the right slightly sore-looking. I would have preferred a little more depth of blue. Long slender muscular body, long legs with neat paws, long tail with a deviation at the tip. Points a slightly cool-toned seal, very brindled to the mask and showing spectacles. Coat close and of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
BOB Hall's CH FURRYFACE BURLINGTON BERTIE M 26 Dec 08
A handsome lad of very good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set and good depth of blue. Long strong muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Points a good warm seal, moderately shaded warm toned body, coat close lying, a little harsh in texture. Rather a shy boy though he handled well, excellent presentation.
Also considered for BOB CH FURRYFACE MARIO LS M 27 Aug 08
A lad of good type needing to develop in masculinity. Long even wedge, good width at the top, large ears held distinctly low. Profile straight, but the front of his head though a straight line is a long way off the vertical; bite level. Eyes of good shape and set, I should prefer the blue a shade deeper. Long slender muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points a dark dense warm seal, lightly shaded body, very short close-lying coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Oriental Non-Breeders Kitten Female

1 Nelson's SKYBLUEPINK TWILIGHT GEM 26 Mar 11
Originally entered as 38d which she certainly wasn't, later changed by the show manager to 38j but saying she was lilac tortie (rather than lilac tortie spotted). Since she clearly wasn't tabby either, I judged her as 37j.
Quite an attractive baby of good type, though on the small side. Medium length wedge with a small pinch, needing a little more width at the top, large ears set in line. Profile almost straight, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good basic shape though a little full, well set, olive green in colour. Medium length firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Colour dark lilac with a distinct metallic sheen to the head, well broken with shades of what at best was dark warm cream, but more likely apricot. Some ghost markings to head and a little barring to the legs but predominantly in the breaks of colour. Coat of good length and texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. In my opinion she is in fact a caramel tortie, though I gave her the benefit of what little doubt there was not to wrong colour her.

2 Linton-Sinclair's PR TRELGANDORF TRADITIONAL (29) MN 17 Feb 10
A very handsome lad of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile almost straight, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set and of a good green. Long well muscled body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Colour very dark though not without warmth, completely sound and free of ghost pattern. Coat short and sleek, of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. Second only on account of his colour problem.
x2 Castelli's SENSAY SPOTSNSTRIPES (48 38) MN 7 Oct 10
A handsome lad of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set and of a good green. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, long tail to balance. His spotted pattern left something to be desired, though the head markings and spine line were good, the spotting on the body showed substantial agouti invasion and in many places the colour did not go down to the roots (though not everywhere). White to almost the complete underbody and throat, lots to the hind legs, some to face and front paws, all told over a third though less than half. Coat close and of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

AC Siamese Non-Breeders Adult Male

1 Samphier's FLUTTERBY PHINEUS (32/10) 8 Aug 10
A handsome strong and masculine lad of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin, bite scissored over. Eyes of very good shape and set and good depth of blue. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch to balance. Well marked in a good hot and dingy toned apricot, very good facial markings including double ribbons, good leg bars, tail three-quarters ringed. Lightly shaded body, coat a little long and slightly greasy along the lower spine. Excellent temperament and presentation.
2 Bruno-Grieve's GR CH FLUTTERBY CONQUISTADOR (24b)
3 Johnson's CH ROYSTERER SULALAYA-ICELORD (24c) 10 Feb 10
A large solid lad of good type. Strong longish even wedge a little disguised by his jowls, good width at the top, ears well set but would ideally be a little bigger. Very good eyes shape and set, needing a little more depth of blue. Straight profile, chin rather shallow and ebbs, bite level. Long heavy body, long legs, tail needs an extra inch. Points quite a pale lilac but blue-toned. Very lightly shaded body, close coat of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

2 Bruno-Grieve's CH REDMOSS AIMEE ATHELSTAN (24c) 26 May 09
A girl of reasonably good type, despite her age still looking rather immature. Medium length wedge with a small pinch, a little more width needed at the top, large ears well set. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good basic shape but rather full, colour difficult to tell because anxiety made her pupils very dilated. Medium length slender but surprisingly weighty body, long legs with neat paws, tail needing an extra fraction. Points quite a dark rather blue-toned lilac, lightly shaded body, coat of good length and texture. Excellent presentation, handled well enough though very nervous.

A well-grown lad of good type. Medium length wedge with a small pinch, needing a little extra width at the top, large ears set in line. Small dip in profile, firm but slightly shallow chin, level bite. Eyes of good set and good basic shape though a little full, needing more depth of blue.
