Thanks to Veda and the committee for the invitation to judge, and to Pina for travelling specially to steward for me for the first time for a while; she was a great help.

Open Classes

Oriental Imperial Grand Champion Female

IGCC Webster's GR CH FIORDILISO NANPEMA-NUAGE (48 40) 21 Mar 12
An elegant girl of very good type, rather fine in build. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile a little angled down from the brow, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set of a good depth of blue. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Points a dark seal, lightly shaded on the body, white to the complete underbody, and some way up the sides and over the shoulders, substantial white to all limbs and face, in all just under half white. A sprinkling of white in the coloured area on the mask. Close coat of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation..
Res Roberts's GR CH ADECISH PIPER (42h) 8 Dec 09
A shy girl of very good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile straight albeit a little flat over the forehead, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set of a good green. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needing an extra fraction. Colour a dark though quite warm chocolate mingled with shades of pale red, silver to just the third so just meeting the requirements of the SOP. Coat short and close and of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Also considered Corby & Dolan's GR CH IKISHIROO CASCADE KIKIMA (29c) 9 Sep 09
A very wriggly girl of good type and therefore not the easiest to assess. Medium length wedge with a small pinch, needing a little more width at the top to balance, well set large ears. Dip in profile below the brow, chin ebbs slightly, bite scissored over. Eyes of good shape and set, the hall lighting did nothing for their colour but though there was some green in them it was at best a shade of olive and not the vivid green required by the SOP. Medium length firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Colour a darkish lilac, coloured to the roots but with a faint browny overlay to the tummy and lower sides. Coat close and of good texture. Excellent presentation.

Siamese Grand Premier Male

GPC Veal & Smith's PR PIPISTRELL CORTADO (24n) 8 Feb 11
A lad of good type. Longish wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Small dip to profile, firm chin and level bite lacking many incisors. Eyes of excellent shape and set and good depth of blue. Long slender muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an inch or two. Points a darkish lilac-based caramel with very obvious browny overtones, unshaded body, close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Res Johnson's PR SULALAYA ICEWARRIOR (32/8) 18 Aug 11
A large lad of good type. Longish even wedge needing a little more width at the top, large ears well set. Profile straight apart from a bump on the nose, chin ebbs a little and rather shallow, bite level. Eyes of good shape if a little full, of quite a good blue. Long well fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail need an extra inch or two. Marked in a very pale lilac-based caramel without too much evidence of browny tones, he does have thumbprints but the "M" and single ribbon are rather sketchy and leg bars indistinct. Tail completely ringed though with a dorsal stripe. Moderately shaded body. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Oriental Smoke Adult

BOB Roberts's GR CH ADECISH PIPER (42h) F

Oriental Red Neuter

BOB Webster's IMP GR PR NANPEMA FIDELIO MN 2 May 11
A mature lad of very good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set, quite a good green in colour. Long firm muscular body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Rich red colouring sound to the roots , showing a very clear spotted pattern of a quality better than for most real spotted tabbies. Close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Cinnamon Point Siamese Adult

1+CC+BOB Moore's KINKAJEWSDEN RUBYLOU F 22 Oct 12
An adolescent girl of good type an sufficient maturity for her age. Medium length almost even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile with a small bump on the nose, firm chin, bite level. Eyes of good shape and set, I would prefer a little more depth of blue. Long firm slender body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points a good warm cinnamon all somewhat brindled, lightly shaded body, close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Tabby Point Siamese Neuter

BOB Johnson's PR SULALAYA ICEWARRIOR (32/8) MN 18 Aug 11

Red Point Siamese Neuter

BOB Glaubitz's IMP GR PR LITTLEFEAT DISTANT THUNDER MN 29 May 09
A lad of very good type. Long even wedge, ideally would be a fraction broader at the top to balance the length, well set large ears. Small dip to profile and a little flat over the forehead, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set, I would prefer a little more depth of blue. They were a little deep set and the broad base of his nose separates them more than I would ideally like. Very long muscular well fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail needing an extra fraction. Points a slightly pale but bright red, very lightly shaded body, close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament though rather wriggly, excellent presentation.

1 Corby & Dolan's GR CH IKISHIROO CASCADE KIKIMA (29c) F

Oriental Maiden Kitten

1 Samphier's EIREACHDAIL DANCINGCLOUD (48a) F 15 Mar 13
A very attractive and promising girl of very good type. Strong medium length wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile other than a tiny depression above the brow which I would expect her to grow out of, firm deep chin and level bite. Eyes of excellent shape and set, colour a rather middy green as yet. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Almost van patterned though with a couple of small coloured patches to the right side of the back just in front of the hind legs, what colour there was was a very dark blue. Coat a fraction long but of good texture Excellent temperament and presentation.

Siamese/Balinese Novice Kitten

1 Samphier's EIREACHDAIL LET'S BOOGIE (32b3) F 18 Apr 13
An attractive baby of good type. Medium length wedge, a little short in the muzzle as yet, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile almost straight, firm deep chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set and a good depth of blue. Proportionate firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Darkish chocolate points mostly well broken with shades of pale red, though the breaks to the tail were rather sparse. Unshaded body, coat close and of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
2 Cassar-Simmonds's FIORDILISO MS DIOR (32a) F 8 May 13
A tiny baby, just old enough to be here but given the degree of development I feel she would have been better staying at home for a while. Promising type, well balanced medium length head. Profile uneven as yet, with a dip and shallow depression, firm chin, no upper incisors yet but bite appears level. Eyes of good shape, set a little straight, of a good depth of blue. Proportionate firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing stringy tail. Little colour to points yet but they did show promise of brightness, coat a little long but of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

AC Siamese/Balinese Non-Breeders Neuter

A class of exceptionally high quality, with very little to separate the exhibits. Interesting to have such a variety of apricot colouring, too. Someone had to come first, but it might have been fairer to place all the others equal second.
1 Geddes's IMP GR PR FLUTTERBY TROOPTHECOLOUR (32fn) MN 13 May 10
A large lad of excellent type. Longish even wedge, very good width at the top, well set large ears. Tiny dip to profile, firm deep chin with a little beard, level bite. Eyes of excellent shape and set and of a good deep blue. Long well fed muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch and rather thick. Points a slightly pale but warm and dingy apricot. Very lightly shaded body, coat a fraction long but close lying and of very good texture. Kept up a constant grumble but handled well; excellent presentation.
2 Saxon's IMP GR PR EIREACHDAIL GALAHAD (32fn) MN 26 Jun 11
A handsome large lad of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape, set a little straight, of a good depth of blue. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch. Points a darker warm dingy-hued apricot. Lightly shaded body, short close-lying coat of very good texture. Another grumbler but easy to handle; excellent presentation.
3 Rycraft's GR PR ASHJOLEX AURORABOREALIS (32b8) FN 7 Apr 11
A graceful well balanced girl of very good type. Medium length even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Tiny dip to profile, very firm chin, bite level. Eyes of very good shape and set, with a good depth of blue. Long well fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points a pale lilac-based caramel delicately mingled with shades of pale apricot, with a darker warm splash in the half blaze on her face. Coat a little long but of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
4 Pearson's IMP GR PR AMYDAY MERELY A MONARCH (32fn) MN 18 Jul 08
A handsome large lad of excellent type. Long wedge, rather overlong in the muzzle, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile straight, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set of a good depth of blue, but they were a little deep set and the haws were up rather which told against him in this company. Long strong muscular body, long legs with largish paws, tail needing an extra fraction. Excellent dingy brown-tinged apricot points, moderately shaded body, coat a fraction long but of good texture. A little grumpy but handled well, excellent presentation.
