CPSCC & LPSCS - 15 August 2015

Thanks to Barbie and the two show management teams for the invitation to judge. A good size of entry, and some really excellent cats, particularly among the Orientals.

Open Classes

CPSCC Siamese/Balinese Grand Premier

IGPC Clayden's GRPR MAFDET MISTER TITIAN (SIA m) MN 11.1.13
A lad of very good type. For perfection I would like a more masculine appearance, but he's not at all bad in that respect. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Almost straight profile, fim chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape if on the full side, well set, of a bright blue which could be deeper in hue. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points a good browny blue-based caramel, moderately shaded body. Coat a fraction long but close lying and of excellent texture. Rather a shy boy to handle though amenable, excellent presentation.
2 (Res IGPC n/a) Chandler's GRPR JOHPAS PETIT BISOUS (SIA d) MN 11.4.14
Another lad of very good type, looking quite mature for his age. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin, the lower jaw unfortunately not aligned with the upper so that, though just scissored on the right, the bite was significantly over on the left. Eyes of good shape and set, ideally they would be a slightly deeper blue. Long well-fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction and rather blunt at the tip. Points a palish red, lightly shaded body, coat a little long and rather harsh in texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. A pity about the bite - without that, he would have been a strong contender for the certificate.

CPSCC Siamese/Balinese Champion Male

GCC Hargan's CH JAKURTZZI THE APPRENTICE (SIA m 21) M 25.11.13
A Large and impressively mature lad of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape but a little blue, ideally they would be a deeper blue. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Marked in a browny toned blue based caramel, good leg bars, tail tow thirds ringed. Moderately shaded body, heavy shading over the top of head but still contrast to be seen. Short close coat of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Res GCC Richards's CH MAFDET DEBIKAT MASERATI (SIA d) M 26.5.14
A lad of very good type, looking rather juvenile as yet. Longish wedge with a tiny pinch. Good width at the top, well set large ears. Small dip in profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set, of a good depth of blue. Long strong body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points a slightly pale red, unshaded body, short close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Simpson's CH DRESTOTHRIL DODINSKY (SIA n) M 5.7.12
A lad of good type, I should prefer him rather larger and more obviously masculine looking given his age. Long wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, large ears set a little low. Profile rather flat over the forehead and raised at the bridge with a small dip below, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set and good depth of blue. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points a dark warm seal, lightly shaded body, coat a fraction long but close and of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation - now I know who he is, what a difference form his time as a terrible teenager!

CPSCC Siamese/Balinese Champion Female

GCC Miller's CH JAZURTZZI SPELLCASTER (SIA k) F 22.5.14
A dainty girl of superior type. Longish wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Almost straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set though she can open them wide at times (but fine when relaxed), of a good depth of blue. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Points blue-based caramel broken with shades of pale apricot, sparsely so to hind legs and tail. Very lightly shaded body, short close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

CPSCC Oriental Champion

GCC Connelly's CH ENIGMATIC JAR OFHEARTS (OSH g) F 21.8.14
A girl of excellent type and good maturity for her age. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set, a good green in colour. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Colour a dark blue sound to the roots, well broken everywhere with shades of warm cream. Short close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. Though she was clearly of better type than the bicolour she did have colour problems, but overall I thought just justified the higher placing.
Res GCC Brownrigg's CH IDEAL CAT ZEBRA (OSH n 03) F 17.7.12
A girl of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile strongly angled down from the brow and with a bump on the nose, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set and a good green colour. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, long tail to balance. Coloured parts jet black sound to the roots, white in an inverted V to the face and then a thin line over the top of the head, throat, chest, and underbody completely white coming a little way up the sides, most of front legs white continuing up over the shoulders, substantial white to hand legs too, in all well over the required third. Rather ore bleeding of white into the edges of the colour than I should prefer to see. Coat a fraction long but close lying and of very good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Bauerfeind's CH MICHANT MUSTAPHA (SIA w 67) F 8.8.14
A girl of good type, still very adolescent in appearance. Long even wedge, needing a fraction more width at the top, well set large ears. Dip in profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set, of a good depth of blue. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Pure white colour, short close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Fremont's CH LUNATORA LOVEMETENDER (OSH bs 11) F 21.3.14
A girl of good type. Medium length wedge rather short in the muzzle and needing more width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin, bite scissored over. Eyes of good basic shape but rather full, of a pale green colour. Medium length firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Clear silver undercolour to about half the hair length, two band of ticking to the rest in a rather cold dark chocolate (not unexpected in a silver), I'm not entirely convinced that her pattern is indeed shaded. Short close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

LPSCS Oriental Premier

GPC Edwards's PR HEMLOCK AVANTADOR (OSH b) MN 5.1.14
A large very mature lad of superb type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, ell set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set, of a pure but marginally paler green than I should ideally prefer, he did seem determined to look down his nose, worse on the left side, but thankfully when distracted decided not to. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, very long tail. Colour a dark but warm chestnut, sound to the roots, very short close coat of excellent texture. Superb temperament, very friendly and not wanting to go back into his pen, though rather an armful; excellent presentation.
Res GPC Smith's PR LORICHA MJOLNIR (OSH ns 25) MN 12.1.14
A lad of good type. Longish wedge, a little short in the muzzle, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set though opened wide at times, colour a rather yellowy green. Medium length well fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Evenly ticked with three bands of black on a clear silver ground, a rather pronounced darker dorsal area. Short close coat rather soft in texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

LPSCS Tabby Point Male Adult

1 (CC n/a) Baughan's MAPU PRINCE GEORGE (SIA m 21) M 22.7.13
A lad of good type, but rather lacking in masculinity, which at two years I could not overlook. Longish wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile rather angled down from the brow, firm slightly shallow chin resulting in less depth at the muzzle than I should like, level bite lacking incisors. Eyes of good shape and set, of a good depth of blue. Medium length firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Marked in quite a browny toned lilac-based caramel, with a curious pale area on the face at the top of the nose and around the whisker pads, paw pads mottled. Otherwise good markings to the head, good leg bars and well ringed tail. Almost unshaded body, short close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
BOB Miller's IGRCH MAFDET QUICKSILVER (SIA n 21) M 15.9.13
An impressive lad of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm slightly shallow chin, level bite. Eyes a little small and deep set, of very good shape and set of a good blue when he was finally persuaded to open them wide enough. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Well marked in good seal, good markings to the head and leg bars, tail half ringed. Quite heavily shaded over the top of his head but still reasonable contrast there, moderately shaded elsewhere. Short close coat of excellent texture. Very friendly and easy to handle, excellent temperament.

Eyes of good shape and set, of a good depth of blue. Longish firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Marked in a slightly dark blue, with good markings to the head (unusually including thumbprints), good leg bars, tail two thirds ringed. Lightly shaded body, short close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation
2 Baughan's MAPU CRESSIE (SIA b 21) F 29.10.14
A girl of good type, who has not yet quite made the transition into adulthood. Longish wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm slightly shallow chin, level bite. Eyes of good shape and set, of a good blue. Long slender body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction. Marked in quite a good chocolate, good markings to the head, legs bars just visible, tail half ringed. Unshaded body, short close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. There was a lot to like about her - I look forward to seeing here in a few months time.

1+CC+BOB Sharp-Popple's DENSON ALBERT (OSH b) M 14.10.14
A lad of good type, looking just mature enough for his age. Medium length even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, chin has depth but ebbs slightly, bite level. Eyes of good shape and set, which he does open rather wide when out but OK in the safety of his pen, colour a slightly pale green. BOB Sharp-Popple's GRCH DENSON WIGGINS (OSH c) M 9.9.13
A mature lad of very good type. Longish even wedge with jowls starting to form, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile almost straight with a small bump on the nose, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set of a good bright green. CPSCC Oriental Spotted Tabby Kitten

1+BOB Brownrigg's HEMLOCK HUDSON MOHAWK (OSH n 24) M 21.2.15
A very well developed kitten of very good type. Long even wedge, I would prefer a fraction more width at the tiop to balance, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of excellent shape and set, a clear pale green in colour. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, long tail to balance. Jet black marking sound to the roots, the ground colour does have some warmth though I would prefer more. Very good markings to head, legs and tail, spine line quite well broken, mostly well defined spots on the body with a little linkage mid body on the left, some agouti overlay on the front edge of the spots but no agouti within them, short close coat of excellent texture. Wonderful temperament, excellent presentation.
